Around the courthouse square and through Old Town, homes date to the 19th and early 20th century. Those openings are rarely square, sills are often deep, and the original trim is usually worth keeping visible. A stock size will show every bit of that; a measured treatment will not.
South and west toward Fishers and Westfield, the subdivisions are newer and bring the familiar pattern of two-story great rooms, transoms and wide sliders — a different measurement problem and a different conversation about operation.
On the northwest side, homes near Morse Reservoir get the same afternoon glare off open water that Geist homes do, which usually moves the conversation toward solar or cellular shades.
